১. তারাবির নামাজ কত রাকাত? (How Many Rakats in Tarawih?)
তারাবির নামাজ সাধারণত ২০ রাকাত। এটি সুন্নাতে মুয়াক্কাদাহ। রাসূলুল্লাহ (সা.)-এর সাহাবীগণের যুগ থেকে মক্কা ও মদিনার পবিত্র দুই মসজিদে ২০ রাকাত তারাবি পড়ার দীর্ঘ ঐতিহ্য রয়েছে। তবে কেউ চাইলে ৮ রাকাতও পড়তে পারেন, কিন্তু ২০ রাকাত পূর্ণ করা উত্তম।
English: Tarawih prayer usually consists of 20 Rakats. It is a Sunnah Mu’akkadah. There is a long tradition of performing 20 Rakats in the two holy mosques of Makkah and Madinah since the time of the companions of the Prophet (SM). However, one can also perform 8 Rakats, but completing 20 is preferred.
২. তারাবির নামাজ পড়ার নিয়ম (How to Pray Tarawih Namaz?)
তারাবির নামাজ অন্য সাধারণ সুন্নত নামাজের মতোই পড়তে হয়। নিচে পর্যায়ক্রমে ধাপগুলো দেওয়া হলো:
নিয়ত (The Intention): প্রথমে দুই রাকাত নামাজের নিয়ত করে 'আল্লাহু আকবার' বলে হাত বাঁধুন।
দুই রাকাত করে পড়া (Sets of 2 Rakats): প্রতি দুই রাকাত পরপর সালাম ফিরিয়ে নামাজ শেষ করতে হয়। এভাবে মোট ২০ রাকাত পূর্ণ করতে হয়।
বিশ্রাম (Resting/Interval): প্রতি চার রাকাত আদায়ের পর কিছুক্ষণ বিরতি নেওয়া বা বিশ্রাম নেওয়া মুস্তাহাব। এই বিরতির সময় তাসবিহ বা দোয়া পড়া হয়।
English: Tarawih is performed like any other Sunnah prayer. Here are the steps:
Intention: Start by making the intention for 2 Rakats and say 'Allahu Akbar'.
Sets of 2: You must complete the prayer in sets of 2 Rakats by turning the head for 'Salam'. Continue this until you reach 20 Rakats.
Interval: It is recommended to take a short break after every 4 Rakats for rest or to recite Tasbih.
৩. ইমামের পেছনে পড়ার নিয়ম (Praying Behind an Imam)
আপনি যদি মসজিদে জামাতে নামাজ পড়েন, তবে নিয়তের সময় "ইমামের পেছনে পড়ছি" (ইক্বতাদাইতু বিহা-যাল ইমাম) এই সংকল্প করতে হবে। ইমাম যখন উচ্চস্বরে কুরআন তিলাওয়াত করবেন, তখন আপনি নীরবে তা শুনবেন।
English: If you are praying in a congregation (Jama'at) at a mosque, you must intend to follow the Imam. When the Imam recites the Quran aloud, you should listen silently.
৪. খতম তারাবি ও সুরা তারাবি (Khatam vs Surah Tarawih)
খতম তারাবি: যখন পুরো রমজানে হাফেজ সাহেবের পেছনে কুরআন খতম করা হয়।
সুরা তারাবি: যখন ছোট ছোট সুরা দিয়ে একাকী বা জামাতে নামাজ শেষ করা হয়।
English: > * Khatam Tarawih: When the entire Quran is completed throughout Ramadan behind a Hafiz.
Surah Tarawih: When the prayer is completed individually or in congregation using short Surahs.
৫. মহিলাদের তারাবি নামাজ আদায় করার নিয়ম (Rules for Women)
মহিলারা সাধারণত ঘরে একাকী তারাবির নামাজ পড়েন। তাদের জন্যও ২০ রাকাত পড়া সুন্নাহ এবং তারা ছোট সুরা দিয়ে এই নামাজ অনায়াসেই শেষ করতে পারেন।
English: Women usually perform Tarawih prayer individually at home. It is also Sunnah for them to pray 20 Rakats, and they can easily complete it using short Surahs.
